If the exception is related to a Refund, this will return one of two things:

1. The updated Refund with a Refund.status of failed. For an in-person refund, Terminal.processRefund can be retried to refund to another payment method. For a Refund created without collecting a payment method, inspect this Refund before deciding whether to create another refund.

2. Null. This signifies that the request to Stripe's servers timed out and Refund.status is unknown. Reconcile the result with your backend before retrying Terminal.processRefund or Terminal.confirmRefund.

For exceptions unrelated to a Refund, this will return null.
